ASRS for Procter & Gamble, Germany

In July 2007, our parent company, EFACEC Automação e Robótica, S.A., has been awarded by Procter & Gamble (P&G) as the Main Contractor for the supply of a turn-key project for the new fully automatic High Bay Warehouse (HBW) to be included in the Wella Distribution Centre, located in Darmstadt, Germany.

The value of the project is approximately 10 million euros.

The scope consists in the supply, site installation, testing, commissioning and after start-up services of a fully automatic warehouse includes:

• Self Supporting Rack with Back Stoppers - aprox. 25 000 Euro pallets
• Roof and Cladding
• Sprinkler System
• Heating System and Temperature Sensors Monitoring
• Lighting in the high bay storage (aisle lighting), including emergency lighting
• High bay external lighting
• Fire shutters integrated with the conveyors
• Personnel Fire Rated Access Doors
• Mezzanine at 3,05 level for interface with stacker cranes conveyors, with stairs for access
• Mezzanine at 9,05 level for interface with stacker cranes conveyors, with stairs for access
• Mezzanine at 3,05 and 9,05 level for conveyors
• Double staircase for access to front-zone of HBW
• Staircases at back-zone for aisle access
• External ladder for roof access
• 45m high Stacker cranes (6 units) - 200 pallets/hour in and 200 pallets/hour out
• Aisle Equipment (110 meters long)
• CCTV system onboard of the stacker cranes
• Fences and Access Control to Aisle
• Conveyors (roller, chain, transfer table, turning tables, single and double lifts, bar code stations)
• PLC Control for Stacker Cranes and Conveyors
• Spare Parts
• Access control in the HBW
• Sprinklers Distribution Valves Room

The project is scheduled to be completed in mid of 2008.
