NEW PROJECT FOR EFACEC SINGAPORE

Efacec Singapore (and Efacec Automação e Robótica) has been awarded the contract to delivery, install and commission an automated warehouse for MEWAH-OILS SDN BHD (MOI), in Pulau Indah, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to be handed over in early December 2007.

This is our second project in Malaysia. The first was done in 2004 for PROTON, a local car manufacturer, to store car bodies for the “Paint Shop”.

MOI is part of Mewah Group of companies. The Mewah Group has over 50 years of experience in the edible oils and fats industry. Mewah Group is a leading producer of refined and fractionated vegetable oils and fats. It is also a manufacturer of a myriad of vegetable oil based high quality consumer products.

The Mewah Group has marketing subsidiaries in China and Australia and a well-established global sales and distribution network serving its current and potential customers. The Mewah Group products are delivered to more than 100 countries in the Asia Pacific, Sub-Indian Continent, Middle East, Africa and Europe. MEWAH-OILS SDN BHD is now expanding its manufacturing plant where the new warehouse will be installed. For this initial phase with capacity of 3772 pallets of 1 ton each, Efacec will supply one stacker crane double deep, 37 meter height, P&D conveyors, 4 shuttle cars to link the existing factory to the new warehouse and from it to the delivery area, and the WMS. It will be handling 30 pallets in and 30 pallets out per hour.

The previous automated warehouse was supplied in 2006 by an Asian company. Our innovative technology, standard components and local service support were enough to convince MOI to switch to a new supplier.
